Crafty Coasters November Meet-Up

The next Crafty Coasters Meet-Up is Thursday 10th November.  We will be meeting at the Girl Guide Hut, 4 Margaret St Southport from 6:30pm.

Come along to work on your own craft project or just come along for a chat.  There is always good company and tasty treats to share.

Another daytime meet-up, another fabulous Gold Coast cafe.....  This month we met at The Shed, part of the Rabbit + Coccoon complex in Miami.  The complex is home to various Gold Coast creatives who work and sell out of the warehouse spaces.  Rabbit + Coccoon also hosts the monthly Miami Marketta which is an evening market with a great range of local sellers, food and drinks.  There is a weekly fresh produce and handmade market on Sundays.  Well worth a look.

The next meet-up is Thursday 10th November from 6:30pm at the Girl Guide Hut, Margaret St Southport.  Hope to see you there!

Treasure

Here are some of the treasures from the Guide Hut where we hold our evening meet-ups.  There is also a big stash of craft books, cupboards full of craft supplies and a photo of the queen.

This evening's meet-up involved fabric (lots of fabric!), crochet, embroidery, florentines, cheesecake and lots of good company. 

The next meet-up will be Wednesday 26th October from 10am.  Venue details to follow. 

Crafty Coasters October Meet-Up

In the windy, windy weather.....

The sun was shining and the wind blowing down at Evandale Lake for our 'Getting Crafty with the Kids' Daytime Meet-up.

The kids made use of the huge range of crafty materials as well as those found in the park and at the lake to create collages, masks, pine cone people, magnets and other treasures.  There was lots of time for fun in the playground, scooter riding, swimming, hermit crab hunting and eating cupcakes.

This was a popular event and we'll be sure to run some more in the summer holidays.

The next meet-up is Thursday 13th October from 6:30pm at the Southport Guide Hut.  Hope to see you there!

Tasty

We were spoilt with sweet treats again this month at Crafty Coasters.  There was chocolate fondue, marshmallows, strawberries, banana bread and caramel sauce.  Oh, and craft too - embroidery, knitting, crochet, pom poms and yo-yos.

We are planning a special 'Getting Crafty with the Kids' school holiday meet-up for later this month.  Stay tuned for details.

September Meet-Up

Oooh, it's time for the September Meet-Up!  Join us on Thursday 8th September from 6:30pm at the Girl Guide Hut, 4 Margaret St Southport.

There will be crafty fun, sweet treats, tea and good company.  Bring your own project to work on or just come along to say 'hi'. Everyone is welcome whatever their level of skill.
