Crafty Coasters March Meet-Up

It's embroidery this month at Crafty Coasters.  Bring along your own needlework project or just pick up a needle and thread when you're there and have a go at some classic embroidery stitches.

The meet-up is this Thursday 10th March at Southport Guide Hut, 4 Margaret St Southport from 6:30pm.

There will be tea, coffee and yummy things to eat. A small contribution towards the cost of venue hire would be greatly appreciated.

February Round Up

This was the Crafty Coasters' first month in the new venue.  It is a comfortable space with plenty of tables and chairs and a well-stocked kitchenette.  And there are friendly reminders of the qualities that make a good Girl Guide stuck on the walls.

It was a small group this month - Patrice came along to bind a quilt for her youngest daughter, Karen stopped in for a chat and to deliver my order of delicious Moda Hunky Dory fabric, and I sewed up another U(n)F(inished)O(bject). It was great to have the time to help with other projects and to have a good chat.

Crafty Coasters February Meet-up

Hello Friends!

We'll be meeting this Thursday 10th February from 6:30pm at the Southport Guide Hut, Margaret St Southport.

It's Machine Madness this month.  Bring along your sewing machine and some materials to create an item of your choice. Or just come along and share your sewing skills.  Don't have a sewing machine?  That's okay - there will be a couple spare.

Crafty Coasters is an informal group for Gold Coast crafty types.

Meet other crafters, talk about craft, share your latest project, learn some new skills, have a coffee, eat cake.

The group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30pm at the Girl Guide Hut, 4 Margaret St, Southport.

We also have occasional daytime child-friendly meet-ups too.
